About the Position
The Manager of Educational Solutions is responsible for developing innovative learning journeys, cultivating strategic partnerships, expanding Mizzen Education’s youth-centered resources, and creating research-based solutions for educators to support the needs of the out-of-school time community.
What You’ll Do
Partnership Cultivation: In collaboration with the Vice President of Strategic Innovation and Partnerships, identify, assess and expand the next generation of Mizzen Education partnerships to support the growth of innovative and engaging learning resources.
- Partner Portfolio Management: Manage the lifecycle of partnership portfolios and administer the development, adaptation and publishing of learning resources in support of the Mizzen Education platform. The Manager of Educational Solutions will also oversee the day-to-day engagement and supports needed to cultivate a collaborative and thriving environment with partners.
- Instructional Quality Supports: Lead the research and design strategy to develop a standards-aligned instructional model to enhance the quality of out-of-school time educators’ facilitation skills and -knowledge of youth development principles.
- Outcome Measurement Design: Lead, develop and provide guidance around outcome measurement processes for learning resources and instructional supports.
- Consultant Supervision: Co-lead a team of EduExperts (consultants) to support the implementation of the Strategic Innovations and Partnerships’ operational plan and strategy. This includes creating and managing a scope of work to advance content development and creation with internal and external partners.
- Organizational Cross Collaboration: Collaborate and coordinate with all Mizzen Education teams to ensure alignment between departmental and organizational goals. Manager will co-design and support implementation of partnership engagement plans, working closely with various teams to align on strategic initiatives.
- Support & Miscellaneous: Provide additional support as needed, including but not limited to co-management of partnership portfolios and support of organization events and initiatives.
Work Environment & Requirements
- Work approximately 40 hours per week.
- Flexible, remote position.
- Co-manage a team of education consultants (2-3 professionals) for the Strategic Innovations and Partnerships Department.
- Travel 2-4 times a year for organization events or initiatives.
What You Need to Succeed
A successful candidate will bring an innovative spirit, an eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks both big and small.
Bachelor's degree in education, social work or nonprofit leadership or equivalent experience required.
- Understanding of youth development principles and of the Mizzen Education’s products and services.
- At least 5 years of experience in education and/or youth development required.
- Strong knowledge of learning resource development and curriculum standards.
- Ability to work, communicate and collaborate in a 100% remote environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and willingness to learn new technical tools (Asana, HubSpot, Retool, etc) to support the work.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- People-oriented and results driven with strong active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Have a mission-driven, social impact mindset.

Salary range for the position will be $78,500 to $83,000 per year depending on relevant experience and work history.
