Job Details: Yard Driver Opr - 1st Shift - RVI Cuthbert Starting Pay $19.35/hr Description: At Tyson Foods, We Care. Safety is the number one priority in everything that we do. TEAM Members are responsible for their own Safety and the Safety of those around them. This position is responsible for coordinating trailer and tanker traffic in the receiving yard and maintaining log of product loads while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Duties: Responsible for ensuring the truck yard stays free of debris and trash. Will be responsible for pre-trip inspections on the Yard trucks and ensure any defects are reported to your supervisor immediately for repair. Responsible for the cleanliness of the yard trucks daily. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose. Complete required logs Will be responsible to ensure that “Safety” while operating a yard truck is top priority. Effective Communication Skills Required Candidates must possess effective communication skills to ensure safety, efficiency, and coordination in the yard. This includes the ability to clearly convey and understand instructions, collaborate with team members, and respond appropriately in various situations, including emergencies. Effective communication over radio and with all levels of management is also essential. Minimum Requirements for Consideration: Must have a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and pass the MVR Records check. (No DUI/DWIs in the last 12 months). Must be willing and have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Valid State issued Driver's license. At least 18 years of age Must be willing and have the ability to effectively communicate with supervisor other team members via 2-way radio. Must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment. May be willing and able to operate front end loader, man lift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. May be willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Rehires must wait a 180 day waiting period and cannot have more than 3 times worked to be eligible for reemployment with Tyson Foods. Must have at least 1 year of continuous employment at your most recent job. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
