  • Located in the Wy’East Day Lodge, the Wy’ East Café offers delicious, convenient meals in a modern cafeteria setting for those enjoying their day on the slopes or bike trails at Timberline.
  • Supervise and maintain professional level of Wy East Cafe kitchen employees; production of meals; maintain sanitary environment as described by Health Department; ensure staff maintain clean work stations and are properly trained on a continuous basis. Regularly assess and maintain food cost of all menu items and inventory.
  • Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to perform all functions of the Line
  • Must be knowledgeable of labor cost and the cost of doing business
  • Must be able to calculate food cost for all menu items and recipes
  • Manage prep list and maintain pars for daily operation
  • Mitigate spoilage and waste, document accordingly
  • Ensure sanitation standards as described by Health Department are followed regarding food, personnel and workplace.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with all team members
  • Create and set new standards of quality control.
  • Display high level of leadership and professionalism in all aspects of work.
  • Promote good working rapport in a non-adversarial manner among staff members as well as with other company personnel.
  • Actively recruit and train new employees in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee requisition and acquisition of food/supplies required for projected daily operational needs.
  • Ensure timely orders and inventory are submitted in the appropriate manner in cooperation with Wy East F&B Operations Manager.
  • Ensure work area walk-ins, reach-ins, loading dock etc. are secured at end of each operational day.
  • Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
  • Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
  • Present a professional, approachable and quality image at all times.
  • Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, dress and grooming.
  • Regular and correct use of the time clock system.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be service oriented.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to set and meet high customer service standards.
  • Must use proper etiquette while conversing with fellow employees.
  • 1-year supervisory experience preferred
  • Must know and follow all proper service procedures.
  • Must have valid Food Handlers permit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
  • Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department/position demands.
