About

Title: WordPress SEO + WP Job Manager Specialist Objective: Implement valid JobPosting structured data, enable Google Jobs aggregation, restore on-site job search, and redesign WP Job Manager shortcodes. Deliverables: Add JSON-LD JobPosting schema on all job detail URLs and the careers index (aggregate listing) with correct fields: title, description, datePosted, validThrough, employmentType, hiringOrganization, jobLocation/applicantLocationRequirements, baseSalary, identifier, directApply boolean, canonical url. Ensure Google Jobs eligibility and indexing: resolve schema validation errors/warnings, generate XML/HTML job sitemap if needed, set correct canonical/robots/meta, and pass Rich Results Test for sample URLs. Fix on-site job search: diagnose WP Job Manager search/query vars, taxonomy/metadata filters, pagination, and indexing; correct 404/empty results; confirm search works for title, location, employmentType, and custom meta. Redesign WP Job Manager output: create/override templates for [jobs], [job_dashboard], and single job; update layout/typography; add filter controls (location, type, pay range); maintain responsive design; no theme core edits. Performance and crawlability: defer non-critical assets, exclude faceted URLs from indexing, ensure listings render server-side for bots. Documentation: one-page handoff covering schema fields, how to publish a new job, and how to edit filters/templates. Requirements: Proven implementation of Google Jobs via JobPosting at scale on WordPress. Expert with WP Job Manager hooks, template overrides, and custom meta. Competent with Rank Math or equivalent SEO plugin filters, JSON-LD injection, and Rich Results debugging. PHP, WordPress, WP-CLI, and basic JS/CSS proficiency. Acceptance criteria: Sample job and careers index pass Google Rich Results Test with zero errors and no duplicate JobPosting nodes. Jobs appear in Google Jobs for branded and non-branded queries after recrawl. Site search returns relevant results with filters functioning and paginated. [jobs] archive uses the new design across mobile and desktop. Handoff doc delivered.
