Background: I originally started building a niche directory platform on WordPress using one plugin framework. Later, I hired developers to help finish the project, but they changed the entire setup without my approval and ultimately left the site unfinished. I’ve been stuck with a half-built site, and I’m now ready to finalize the MVP so it can launch. See attached. The project already has a foundation in place, and I have a detailed requirements document that clearly outlines what’s needed for MVP launch and what can wait for Phase 2. Scope of Work (MVP Phase): You’ll be responsible for the technical implementation. No brand design, copywriting, or content creation is required. I will supply all copy, graphics, and content. Key tasks include: Custom Post Type (CPT) cleanup and setup (Stylists and Salons) Front-end submission forms with Free vs Pro Plan logic WooCommerce membership setup (Pro Plan, PayPal and Stripe integration) Listing templates (single and archive) with feature gating Homepage build (hero, search, featured listings, email sign-up, etc.) Blog setup (archive layout, homepage teaser, For Clients category) Menu and footer finalization Security and performance setup (WP Rocket, SMTP, login limits, Tag Manager integration) Transactional email setup (confirmation and renewal emails; I will provide copy) Admin moderation flow for new listings before they go live QA and mobile responsiveness testing Deliverables: Fully functional MVP directory site, tested and launch-ready Deployed to my hosting environment Admin walkthrough or light documentation on key workflows (submissions, memberships, moderation) Timeline: Deadline October 31, 2025 Future Opportunity: This project will expand after MVP. Future phases include reviews, advanced filters, city landing pages, a professional resource hub, vendor listings, and booking integrations. Strong performance on the MVP could lead to ongoing work on these features. Ideal Candidate: Proven experience with WordPress directory sites Deep knowledge of JetEngine (Crocoblock), Elementor, and WooCommerce Ability to implement Free vs Pro plan logic (feature gating, memberships) Solid understanding of performance optimization and security best practices Good communication and ability to stick to agreed timelines
