We are a green, socially responsible web hosting company trying to migrate a content-rich site from ICDSoft hosting, where many modifications to the basic wordpress install have been made. After examining the backup we took, we determined that it would be easier to extract the content from the backup and build it into a new, standard wordpress install than it would be to hunt down all of the strange, undocumented modifications by ICDSoft and fix them. We are in a bit of a rush to do this; I am sure that with more time and energy, we could do this internally... but for someone who is very familiar with the wordpress database, plugins, and file structure, this shouldn't take more than a few hours. We're on a tight budget, though, so it will have to fit within the $35 limit. On the other hand, we are quite happy to hire new talent to give them good reviews and make it more likely they are found for more work on Upwork. The right person will be quite comfortable with the wp database and making changes to it, importing pages, posts, and comments, and media in such a way that the references to the media in pages/posts are still valid. the list of plugins will have to be examined, with any "icdsoft special" plugins noted and avoided. There is a good reference version of the site in the Internet Archive / wayback machine to work from. On our end, we have a bunch of backups to work with, including database dumps!
