About

We are a pet lifestyle brand developing a luxury wooden dog bed frame. We have the design and aesthetic concept finalized, and now we need the technical assets required to send to manufacturers for accurate quoting. The Objective: We need a "Factory Ready" package (Drawings, BOM, CAD) that we can hand over to a manufacturer immediately. However, before finalizing these drawings, we need you to review our design and ensure it is optimized for manufacturing efficiency. Scope of Work: Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Review: Analyze our concept and refine the geometry/joinery for Flatpack (KD) shipping. Optimize the design to reduce material waste and machining time without altering the luxury aesthetic. Hardware Selection: Specify robust, high-quality KD hardware (cam locks, threaded inserts) that is hidden or visually pleasing, ensuring the bed is sturdy but easy for the customer to assemble. The Deliverables (Factory Ready): Create the comprehensive assets we need for production quotes: 2D Technical Drawings: Orthographic views with precise dimensions, tolerances, and joinery details. Bill of Materials (BOM): Full spec sheet including wood species, hardware types/part numbers, and finish info. 3D Files: STEP/IGES files and assembly instructions logic. Required Experience: Proven track record of creating technical drawing packages for wood furniture manufacturers (Experience dealing with Vietnamese factories is a major plus). Deep knowledge of flatpack joinery, wood movement, and hardware standards. Value Engineering: Ability to make subtle design tweaks that lower production costs while maintaining the design intent. To Apply: If your expertise is a good fit, please link your portfolio/website. In addition: Please reference one specific project in your portfolio that involved flat-pack wood furniture and briefly mention how you prepared that specific design for manufacturing.
