Hoʻoikaika Partnership (HP) is a coalition dedicated to strengthening families, preventing child maltreatment, and promoting collective well-being across Maui County. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, HP supports providers, educators, caregivers, and policy makers with tools and resources to build safe, thriving communities.
Summary
We’re seeking a creative and reliable Website & Visual Communications Contractor to maintain and enhance our website, develop graphic materials, and support social media outreach. This is a part-time, flexible, remote contract position (15–20 hours per month), with preference for candidates based in Maui or elsewhere in Hawaiʻi.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to family- and community-strengthening efforts in a flexible, supportive setting. Ideal candidates will bring initiative, cultural sensitivity, and visual storytelling skills to help elevate HP’s digital presence and public-facing materials.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand HP’s WordPress website (Divi theme), including content updates, page creation, and monthly technical maintenance.
- Design culturally relevant digital and print-ready materials such as brochures, infographics, flyers, and social media graphics using Canva.
- Support public education campaigns, fundraising, and social media presence (Instagram, Facebook) with culturally relevant, engaging visual content.
- Collaborate with HP’s Coordinator to identify content opportunities and ensure materials align with HP branding and accessibility standards.
- Monitor basic analytics and create simple SOPs or tutorial content as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in website maintenance/design
- Strong WordPress skills (Divi theme experience highly preferred) and SEO familiarity
- Proficient with Canva; additional tools (e.g., video editing, Adobe Creative Suite) a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Maui community resources and/or early childhood, parent education, or social service fields strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and creative storytelling skills
