About this Volunteer Opportunity:
As a Website Administrator (Volunteer), you will help ReadyMeNow revise and optimize our WordPress site so people can learn about our mission and programs, and volunteer to help deliver our mission. You will refine our pages, embed Microsoft Forms, and support basic data flow into our Microsoft for Nonprofits environment.

Important Note: This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity and not a paid employment position._ We are a nonprofit, volunteer workforce. _

This role is limited to individuals who are currently living in the United States and are able to complete a US based background check through our third party provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review our current WordPress site and hosting and suggest practical improvements for security, speed, and usability
  • Implement revisions to navigation, menus, and page layouts that make it easier for volunteers to get involved
  • Embed Microsoft Forms into key pages and style them using Thrive tools so they fit our brand
  • Coordinate how form submissions will be handed off to Dataverse or other Microsoft tools with our Systems Lead
  • Help align page content and calls to action with Communications and Fundraising leadership
  • Set up light tracking for form completions or key page visits using tools available in our stack
  • Document the steps you take so future volunteers or staff can maintain your work

Qualifications:

  • Experience building or maintaining WordPress sites for organizations or clients
  • Familiarity with at least one visual builder or theme framework such as Thrive, Elementor, Divi, or similar
  • Comfortable embedding and styling external forms (for example Microsoft Forms, Gravity Forms, or similar tools)
  • Basic understanding of how website forms connect to email, CRMs, or data tools
  • Eye for clear, simple user experience rather than flashy design
  • Able to meet virtually and share screens while walking through proposed changes
  • Reliable time commitment for the duration of the project (for example, 3 to 5 hours per week over several weeks)
  • Formal degree not required. We welcome self taught and nontraditional backgrounds with solid WordPress experience.

ReadyMeNow is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity incorporated in Mississippi. We deliver on site lifesaving training and personal readiness coaching where people live, work, and gather, with a special focus on rural residents, family caregivers, and small community organizations. Your work on our website will directly support our ability to onboard volunteers and connect people with training that can save lives.
