Job Description The GM Risk app support will serve as an Application Support, strategist, and innovator for Global Markets and Risk Management Systems. We are looking for a candidate who has a good mix of broad and deep technical and leadership qualities who can take on the role of leading the Run functions of Risk Application team ( Balance sheet, interest rate risk, liquidity, fraud and compliance). This role will participate in technical discussions to share ideas and provide feedback in continuing the improvement of the Risk Platform areas such as cost savings, technology adoption, and problem resolution operational efficiency. This role will also require strong management and technical responsibility. We are looking for an individual to work in a challenging and demanding banking environment. Responsibilities: Provide support to the organization in developing, operating and managing large and sophisticated enterprise system environments, with a primary responsibility of leading banks run function. The role oversees a 24/7/365 support the GM and Risk management systems Act as Subject Matter expert for teams, providing guidance for efforts including incident and problem management. Ensure Database and middleware product availability, performance & patch compliance in accordance with bank standards. Driving team’s Automation initiatives. Driving productivity, recommending improvements, remediation and operational excellence using quality methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement. Provides senior level technical guidance to staff, application team and other teams as necessary. Analyze production systems and performance testing to identify areas of improvement within the application or infrastructure. Engages in strategic planning with business and technology stakeholders to provide direction, technology roadmaps, and platform design and architecture Ensures that application and system uptime is maintained according to SLAs Resolving complex issues involving performance, capacity, resiliency, stability Knowledge in OpenShift container platform, Linux, Control M, ITRS monitoring, EOD process, SQL scripts Good understanding of Financial Trading platform such as Murex, Risk management systems in interest rate, Liquidity, capital, and Compliance Risk Good in stakeholder business management Requirements: Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent Strong Middleware Application Server Extensive experience in traditional database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL Experience in using, configure, setup and maintain Kubernetes container management platform such as OpenShift In-depth understanding of application security and SSL certificates Strong background in dealing with application development teams and principal vendors Must have working experience & knowledge on ITIL Processes for IT service management (ITSM) to manage Incidents and problem tasks. Experience in leading IT operations team in banking industry. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to interact professionally Strong awareness and sensitivity of the priority in maintaining full compliance with IT security and operation standards Highly organized, motivated and able to meet deadlines Customer focus and result oriented Ability to work under pressure with demanding objectives/timelines Additional Requirements Be a Part of the UOB Family UOB is an equal opportunity employer.
