  • The Visitor Experience Supervisor (part-time) plays a key role in the Museum, together with the supervisor team and under the guidance of the Visitor Services and Museum Store & Floor Managers, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Museum. This includes managing the admissions desk, crowd levels, floor engagement, birthday parties, and a team of Visitor Experience staff. This position requires a strong hospitality mindset and leadership skills to support visitors and staff.
  • Job status: Hourly, Part-Time
  • Position reports to: Visitor Experience Manager
  • Compensation: $23-$25/ hr DOE
  • Schedule includes one weekend day per week and Up to 31 hours per week
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Welcome and engage with children and families in the Museum.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service for all visitors.
  • Oversee daily operations of the admissions desk including the point of sales system, cash handling, and answering phones.
  • Train and oversee floor staff. This includes daily scheduling, mentorship, and assisting with reviews and disciplinary action.
  • Leads as first point of contact to address injuries, incidents, emergencies, and complaints.
  • Facilitates birthday parties and STEAM activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility such as exhibits, restrooms, classrooms, and outside spaces.
  • Monitor crowd and capacity levels.
  • Develop knowledge of and enforce all Museum policies and procedures.
  • Assists with administrative projects such as data entry, scheduling, and museum inventory.?
  • Requirements
  • EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required
  • Two years in a customer service position.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Enjoy working with children and families.
  • Strong sense of teamwork, as well as ability to work independently.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment (playful, loud, busy).
  • Ability to comfortably perform duties such as sitting, standing, walking, or lifting.
  • Preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of leadership roles (to included but not limited to) trainers, supervisors, leads, etc.
  • Fluency in a second language
