Overview We are looking for a remote Warehouse Operations Lead to help us build the foundational processes, systems, and structure of our warehouse operations. This is a virtual role focused on documentation, operational planning, workflow optimization, and guiding the on-site team through best practices. You will NOT perform physical warehouse tasks. Instead, you will provide remote leadership, SOP development, organizational planning, reporting and operational oversight to help the on-site warehouse team work efficiently and accurately. This is a great fit for someone with strong warehouse operations experience who excels at documentation, systems thinking, and implementing structure. Responsibilities (Remote Only) Operational Process Design Build and document clear warehouse processes (receiving, picking, staging, shipping, returns, inventory cycles). Create SOPs for container loading planning, pallet organization, and shipment preparation (no physical loading). Develop systems for tracking inventory accuracy and warehouse workflows. Recommend tools, templates, checklists, and digital systems for warehouse visibility. Virtual Support & Team Guidance Review photos/videos sent by the on-site team to provide guidance on layout, labeling, and organization. Train on-site staff via Teams on best practices, safety fundamentals, and workflow management. Provide written coaching and structured feedback to improve day-to-day warehouse operations. Support management with communication frameworks to reduce errors and improve accountability. Planning & Coordination Help map out warehouse floor layout, storage zones, and labeling systems (virtually). Assist with planning for scheduled inventories and implementing cycle-counting processes. Help review shipping documentation, order workflows, and freight-forwarding processes to ensure accuracy. Reporting & Optimization Analyze operational issues and recommend remote solutions to improve speed, accuracy, and communication. Provide weekly summaries of progress, risks, and operational improvements. Identify areas where digital tools or automation can support the team. Qualifications 5+ years experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management. Strong experience building SOPs, process documentation, or workflow systems. Ability to train and coach teams remotely. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication — clear, structured, and proactive. Experience with WMS, inventory systems, or operational software (preferred).
