Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Vintage & Y2K Apparel Sourcer to join our team as an Independent Contractor at the Goodwill Outlet. This role involves sourcing unique vintage and Y2K clothing items, primarily focusing on apparel with distinctive styles from past decades. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for fashion trends, and experience in sourcing and procurement within the apparel industry. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a curated collection of vintage fashion pieces. This role is structured as an independent contractor relationship, not employment. Contractors retain full control over how, when, and where sourcing activities are performed, subject only to quality and approval standards. Compensation is performance-based and directly tied to the number of approved items sourced and delivered.

Vintage 1990s apparel

• Y2K apparel
• Heels
• Purses & handbags
• Fashion accessories

All items must align with resale demand and meet defined quality criteria.

Quality & Condition Standards

Only Grade A–B condition items will be accepted.

Items must not contain:

• Holes, stains, rips, or tears
• Heavy wear or fabric degradation
• Broken or missing zippers, straps, or closures
• Structural damage or visible defects

Items must be clean, wearable, and resale-ready upon delivery.

Sourcing & Approval Process

• Contractor independently sources items at Goodwill Outlet locations
• Photos are submitted for approval prior to purchase
• Contractor purchases only approved items using personal funds
• Items are delivered to the designated drop-off location
• Payment of $5 per item is issued upon receipt and verification

All items approved prior to purchase are guaranteed for acceptance, provided condition matches approval photos.

Payment Method

• Payments are issued upon receipt of approved items
• Payment is made via bank transfer or PayPal
• Contractors are responsible for providing accurate payment information

Independent Contractor Status (Legal Notice)

This role is offered strictly as an independent contractor engagement. Contractors:

• Are not employees
• Are responsible for their own transportation, sourcing expenses, and methods
• Control their own schedule and sourcing volume
• Are responsible for all applicable taxes and reporting
• Receive no employee benefits, wages, or hourly guarantees

This opportunity is paid by item volume, not by time worked.

Earning Potential

• Compensation scales directly with productivity
• Experienced sourcers can consistently earn $30+ per hour equivalent
• No earnings cap
• Guaranteed payment for approved items delivered in acceptable condition
