We are looking for a reliable and creative video editor to join our team for a long-term YouTube project centered around an easy science explainer style niche. The goal is to turn voiceovers into high-retention visual stories . Science / Educational Storytelling, You must be knowledgeable in YouTube Editing for Retention, Explainer-Video Visual Language, Sound and Music Design, Consistency and Branding, Stock Footage + Visual Research This isn’t traditional editing — we’re using a distinctive, simplified visual style that combines paint explainer-style stickman editing, relatable images to the script, doodles, minimal animation, video clips, all layered thoughtfully over voiceover narration. ⸻ 🔍 The Role: • Edit 2 video per week • Average video length: 10-15 minutes • Rate: $3-5 per edited minute with progression as the channel grows • Scripts and voiceovers are fully provided — your focus is on visual storytelling ⸻ 🎨 Editing Style: Think of it as: • Simple paint-style explainer visuals (arrows, circles, stick figures) • Scrapbook-like cut-out effects (images, doodles, images directly related to the video/character), 3-5 second video clips • Sound effects and atmospheric touches to enhance the narrative • Minimal transitions or flashy effects — the focus is on creative timing and using basic elements in clever ways You’ll be expected to follow the tone and rhythm of the voiceover and build a compelling visual narrative using pre-existing imagery, simple animations, and your editing instincts.
