- YOUR PURPOSE
- Under general guidance, supports the SVP Marketing & Facilities in enhancing the lives of members and community by fulfilling the mission, vision and strategy for the Credit Union’s overall marketing, digital, and brand strategy. The primary responsibility is to provide strategic leadership, operational management and optimize strategy in delivering scalable multi-channel marketing communications, assets, analytics and results. Ensures consistent achievement of assigned goals and objectives. Engages with key stakeholders to ensure Marketing and Digital plans and strategies align to bolster growth, product innovation and brand fulfillment. Responsible for ensuring sound and compliant Marketing practices. Monitors and drives the overall marketing strategy for the credit union to support the member experience and value proposition in complement to organizational growth, scale and profitability. Provides leadership, coaching and development to motivate and influence business unit culture and direction. As a senior leader, collaborates with other senior leaders to ensure consistency and continuity across platforms and programs.
- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Strategy, Planning & Innovation
- Develop and execute an effective marketing plan and strategy. Collaborates with SVP Marketing & Facilities and key leaders in developing strategy for growth and brand optimization.
- Design and monitor overall multi-channel marketing plan which supports the credit union’s member experience, digital strategy, market share growth and targeted business results.
- Engage/participate in organization-wide strategic planning
- Monitors and responsive to changes in the marketing and digital landscape, including government regulation, technological advancements, consumer needs and preferences, and other.
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement into action the annual marketing strategy in accordance with the Strategic Action Plan initiatives.
- Digital Marketing Strategy: Develop and maintain the overall Digital Marketing Strategy to enhance the member experience of onboarding, account opening, and channel growth goals with a digital first focus, in accordance with the Strategic Action Plan and Marketing Plan.
- Key Compliance & Operational areas of responsibility
- In partnership with compliance, oversee that policy and legal requirements are satisfied to ensure marketing practices are compliant.
- Responsible for all major service contract, activities and vendor management in areas of responsibility.
- Supports Budget planning, monitoring and oversight
- Serves as business unit point of contact and key decision maker for staff and all stakeholders needs or queries, including corporate counsel and/or member circumstances as needs arise.
- Performs such other duties and accountabilities as assigned by the SVP Marketing & Facilities.
- Leadership & Management
- Manages, directs, develops, recruits and leads Horizon Credit Union operation teams
- Manages subordinate leaders who supervise employees in the Marketing, Digital, Research and Community Engagement units.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;
- Provides the leadership that ensures supervisory responsibilities are effectively and efficiently carried out by Managers/Supervisors in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Support the development of job descriptions and expectations so that each team member knows his/her role and responsibilities. Frequently review the Team members performance against their job expectations and goals.
- Coaching and developing the Team for effective performance and succession/redundancy. Plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolving problems.

Our pay values are reflected in our compensation philosophy which rewards individual performance and the potential to contribute to our teams’ overall success long-term.
- The full pay range for this position across all the states in which we hire is $141,104-$239,878/annually. The figures shown represent the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education, and skill level.

- EXPERTISE YOU NEED
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related. Minimum seven years of experience successfully leading and guiding a key organizational relevant business unit at a senior level. Related work experience may substitute for education.

- To perform the essential functions of this position an employee must be able to meet the following work place demands: ability to converse with others, detect sound, identify and detect objects, count, read, write, operate a computer, handle and feel objects, reach with hands/arms and be stationary and/or stand and/or move for long periods of time. Occasionally an employee will lift/pull/push and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and be able to maintain balance doing these activities. Position requires sound reasoning, good judgement and ability to apply knowledge toward work activities. The noise level is moderate and typical of a normal office environment.
