  • Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
  • Work hours: Full-time Evenings (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) Five 8-hour shifts per week for 40 hours per week; Monday – Friday
  • Labor & Delivery Highlights
  • Fast-paced department with 275 deliveries monthly and over 100 triage patients monthly
  • Fast-paced calling physicians, answering phones, admitting patients, maintain unit flow.
  • Will assist with opening the doors and welcoming patients, family members and visitors
  • Admit and greet patients
  • Here’s What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred
  • Unit secretary experience highly preferred
  • Care Connect admissions experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task preferred
  • Knowledge of general office equipment, PC’s and associated software packages a plus.
  • General knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
  • Previous secretary experience in healthcare environment a plus
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers.
  • Demonstrates acceptable organizational skills.

  • Acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills and communication with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
  • Organizes workload and effectively collaborates with nursing to prioritize care.
