- Unit Secretary – Labor & Delivery

- Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
- Work hours: Full-time Evenings (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) Five 8-hour shifts per week for 40 hours per week; Monday – Friday
- Labor & Delivery Highlights
- Fast-paced department with 275 deliveries monthly and over 100 triage patients monthly
- Fast-paced calling physicians, answering phones, admitting patients, maintain unit flow.
- Will assist with opening the doors and welcoming patients, family members and visitors
- Admit and greet patients
- Here’s What You Need
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred
- Unit secretary experience highly preferred
- Care Connect admissions experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task preferred
- Knowledge of general office equipment, PC’s and associated software packages a plus.
- General knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
- Previous secretary experience in healthcare environment a plus
- Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

- Performs all tasks to meet the needs of physicians, staff, patient, and other customers.

- Acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills and communication with patients, families, co-workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.
- Organizes workload and effectively collaborates with nursing to prioritize care.
