  • This role is ideal for a competitive, self-starting professional with a solid understanding of freight brokerage and transportation logistics. The Freight Sales Representative will be responsible for both generating new business and nurturing existing accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and targeting potential customers.
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships within the assignment.
  • Understanding client needs and proposing solutions.
  • Preparing sales proposals and pricing quotes.
  • Managing accounts through the sales cycle from initiation to onboarding.
  • Achieving sales objectives through effective strategies.
  • Collaborating with operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities.
  • Using CRM software for sales management and reporting.
  • Leading or assisting in account reviews.
  • Monitoring competitors.
  • Analyzing market trends.
  • Attending meetings and trade shows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in transportation sales or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of the LTL industry
  • Proven sales skills especially in carrier or 3PL.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to build relationships.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with transportation and customer management systems.
