- Type of Position: Full-time, Seasonal
- Schedule: 5 days/week, includes weekends/holidays, includes days/some night shifts
- Pay: $22.25 - $24.00/hour

- Summary
- Assist the Terrain Park Leadership providing oversight of the Terrain Park team during the day shift. Works closely with the Terrain Park Leadership and Trail Maintenance Manager to ensure the Terrain Park is appropriately maintained to provide a positive user experience. Plays a key role in the “Terrain Based Learning Program”. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.
- Essential Functions
- Performs all duties of Terrain Park department staff and oversee Terrain Park in the absence of Leadership, which includes managing terrain park features and providing safety instruction to guests and users.
- Lead the work of Terrain Park Attendants to assure appropriate maintenance of the Terrain Park. Responsibilities may include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Lead will provide the Leadership with input on Terrain Park Attendant performance, for the Leadership to address, as appropriate. Assists with maintaining records of all training for all Terrain Park members.
- Participate in design, construction, and maintenance of park terrain and terrain features
- Assists with developing, facilitating, and delivering all user education and training; hands on and literature based.
- In the absence of the Leadership, the Lead manages guest situations, responding promptly to guest needs and seeking support from other Loveland leadership, as needed.
- Consistently observes safety and security procedures, determining appropriate action beyond guidelines. Reporting or addressing potentially unsafe conditions. Using equipment and tools properly with the appropriate personal protective equipment.

- Requirements
- Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent, preferred.
- At least one years’ experience maintaining terrain parks, experience within the Loveland Terrain Park, preferred.
- Experience in a leadership role, preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly (speak and understand) in English – verbal and written communications
- Ability to approach others in a tactful manner, reacting well under pressure, treating others with respect and consideration.
- Ability to work at high altitudes, day, or night, outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
- Intermediate level or better ski or snowboard ability.
- Working knowledge with NSAA Terrain Park Guidelines, familiarity with general industry OSHA regulations.
- Basic knowledge in snow management
- Ability to frequently ski or snowboard, walk and/or climb; to use hands and fingers to feel, grab, and handle; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, and talk and hear.
- Ability to rake, shovel, or engage in other heavy labor, stand and stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
