About
We are seeking a Towing Dispatcher to join our team and play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly. The Dispatcher serves as the central communication hub between customers, drivers, management, and external partners. ⸻ Responsibilities • Dispatch & Communication • Answer incoming calls from customers, insurers, law enforcement, and roadside programs. • Assign and dispatch calls to drivers promptly, based on location, truck type, and workload. • Provide real-time updates and ETAs to customers and clients. • Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor status, progress, and issues. • Operational Support • Enter call details accurately into dispatch software. • Track driver availability, truck locations, and shift coverage. • Handle cancellations, reassignments, and escalations as needed. • Ensure all required paperwork and digital logs (fuel receipts, invoices, photos, signatures, etc.) are complete and accurate. • Customer Service • Deliver professional, courteous, and empathetic service to all callers. • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints quickly and effectively. • Coordinate with insurance adjusters, police, and motor clubs as required. • Compliance & Safety • Verify that dispatched calls comply with company, insurance, and state regulations. • Monitor drivers’ adherence to safety protocols and company policies. • Alert management of any policy violations or emergencies. ⸻ Qualifications • Previous dispatch, call center, or logistics experience (towing or transportation industry preferred). • Strong multitasking ability with attention to detail. • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills. • Comfort with dispatch software, GPS systems, and basic computer tools. • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Calm under pressure and able to manage high call volumes.
