  • As the Test and Evaluation (T&E) Engineer / Analyst, you will provide technical and analytical support for the planning, execution, and reporting of developmental, operational, and integrated test and evaluation (T&E) activities in support of Naval Air programs. This role involves collaboration with program offices, test organizations, and the Test and Experimentation Coordination Team to ensure effective and efficient testing strategies and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review technical requirements for test planning and reporting, including test objectives, processes, data acquisition, analysis, and documentation.
  • Support the development of T&E strategies and the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), ensuring alignment between program offices and coordination teams.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments and provide technical input to T&E policies, products, and processes supporting acquisition decisions.
  • Perform technical studies and analyses to refine advanced testing approaches, verification methods, and test resource requirements.
  • Participate in test planning and reporting meetings, technical and deficiency reviews, T&E IPTs, NTAB sessions, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Support development and maintenance of TEMP Part IV documentation and manage test, reliability, and supportability data.
  • Identify and apply data science methods, algorithms, and visualization tools to analyze structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Review and evaluate system documentation, including specifications and design materials, to assess system effectiveness and suitability for Naval Air applications.
  • Support T&E acquisition coordination, resource planning, and the design of experiments for integrated developmental and operational testing.
  • Plan, conduct, and report on capabilities-based T&E for interoperability, crew systems, cybersecurity, survivability, and various sensor system domains (radar, EO/IR, EW, acoustics).
  • Conduct and support radar and EW system performance testing, including evaluation of detection, tracking, sensitivity, integration, and countermeasure capabilities.
  • Provide coordination and planning support for DT&E, OT&E, and fleet training detachment activities.

  • Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM area of study, required.
  • Must have at least two years of recent Test and Evaluation experience.
  • Familiarity with analytic tools such as JMP, MATLAB and R Studio, highly desired.
  • Operational test experience and DoD Acquisition experience, desired.
  • Operational experience in Navy aircraft, desired.

Security Clearance Requirement

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $120,000 - $150,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
