  • This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. 
  • This position is not eligible for a telecommuting schedule.   
  • Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Unit. 
  • Essential Functions
  • * Operate and maintain Range Systems
  • * Perform all maintenance, equipment/system status reporting, configuration control and logistics duties 
  • * Perform repairs in accordance with technical orders, maintenance manuals and schematics
  • * Work with Integrated Maintenance Data System Software to generate Job Control Numbers (JCNs) on failed equipment
  • * Complete assigned training in a timely manner to establish a level of proficiency and qualification essential for mission support
  • * Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety and security
  • * Perform other duties/cross utilization as assigned

  • Required Experience
  • * Associates degree in electronics, information technology or related field or military technical training (electronics, communications or related) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • * Two (2) or more years related technical experience
  • * Proficient experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic hardware and associated support equipment
  • * Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • * Ability to differentiate colors and audible sounds
  • * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and lift, with assistance, a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • * Possible travel to assist in the repair at remote installations
  • * The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • * Must have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security clearance, or higher, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • * Valid U.S. Driver’s License

  • The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $34.06 to $42.53.  RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
