- Toyon Research Corporation is seeking a temporary Technical Recruiter to work on-site in our Goleta, California headquarters, supporting talent acquisition and company growth across multiple technical teams. The ideal candidate will leverage the strength of their experience and demonstrated success in technical recruiting. - We are looking for a technical recruiter to support a surge in recruiting activity and provide additional continuity of recruiting support during staff leave periods. Key responsibilities will include working closely with hiring managers to determine what skills and qualifications are needed, as well as applying excellent recruiting insights to sourcing, reviewing, screening, and ultimately bringing in the selected candidates.
- Responsibilities
- Sourcing, screening, scheduling and interviewing across all levels for our technical teams
- Ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Exercise care and sound judgment in all communications with existing and potential employees
- Utilize our current Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to effectively manage prospective candidates and comply with OFCCP and other legal requirements
- Effective use of our internal systems to ensure all information/data is correct and compliant
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Demonstrated success in technical recruiting
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment laws
- Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment and with all levels of staff and management
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
- An acute attention to detail and self-motivated to maintain high quality in work products
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, and exercise initiative and independent judgment while managing multiple and simultaneous priorities
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, English, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of talent acquisition experience, with 2 years of technical recruiting preferred
- HRIS/ATS knowledge and experience; Paylocity a plus
- Recruiting for government contractors, aerospace/defense, software, engineering, and/or R&D a plus
- The hourly pay range for the Technical Recruiter (Temporary) position is $40.00 to $60.00.
- The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on hourly base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate’s education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when determining actual rate of pay.
