Carrols has a rich and varied history, from its first days in 1960 as a hamburger and milkshake joint in upstate New York. Carrols was operating 160+ restaurants in over 12 states by the mid-1970s, when they entered into a franchise relationship with Burger King. Carrols saw significant growth in the following five decades. In 2024, RBI acquired Carrols and welcomed them into the Burger King Company family.
