We are a high-growth online community startup seeking an Expert Systems and Automation Specialist (or Architect) to build the operational backbone of our community ecosystem. We need more than just tool implementation; we need strategic vision to ensure our workflows are efficient, scalable, and fully integrated from day one. You will be responsible for defining and executing the tech stack and automation strategy that will drive member engagement, streamline internal operations, and prepare us for significant growth. Key Deliverables & Responsibilities Tech Stack Recommendation & Architecture: Analyze our specific community needs (onboarding, engagement, content delivery, support, payment/membership) and recommend the ideal, integrated, and cost-effective stack (e.g., community platform, CRM, email marketing, scheduling, payment gateway). Workflow Streamlining: Design and implement end-to-end automations for critical processes, such as: New member onboarding and welcome sequences. Content distribution and scheduling. Lead capture and CRM integration (if applicable). Internal team communication and task management. System Integration & Execution: Connect all chosen tools to ensure data flows seamlessly and tasks are triggered automatically. Documentation: Create clear, repeatable documentation for all systems and workflows implemented. ✨ About You: Your Expert Profile Proven Systems Expertise: You are an expert-level specialist in designing and implementing complex business systems and automations for small businesses or startups. Online Community Experience is MANDATORY: You must have demonstrable experience building, optimizing, or scaling systems specifically for an online community, membership site, or educational platform. You understand the unique workflow challenges of managing members vs. managing customers. Platform Agnostic & Strategic: You aren't tied to one tool but can recommend the right solution (e.g., Circle, Mighty Networks, Discourse, integrated with Airtable, Zapier, HubSpot, etc.) based on our budget and needs. Execution Focused: You not only recommend the solution but can also execute and build it from the ground up.
