Seeking a skilled landscape designer to transform our residential landscaping in the lower Hudson Valley, NY, focusing on sustainable, water-sparing, and low-maintenance concepts. The project includes design, plant recommendations, implementation, and care instructions, with an emphasis on native plants. Potential hardscape additions are also being considered. We would like the designs recommend to incorporate the following (beside aforementioned): -resilient, water-sparing, low maintenance, native, kid-friendly and pet-friendly design, pollinator plants, include spaces for raised beds for vegetables and spices, include fruits (in general- edibles). We have a sprinkler system that helps for droughts in the summer but would like to use a lot less water. Our land is also on a slope where water flows away from the house. New to this process and a novice gardener! We have landscaping resources but would like to make upkeep and implementation as easy as possible to minimize costs.
