Job Summary
- Responsible for the protection of the casino assets, management and overall operation of the surveillance department and adherence to internal controls associated with the Gaming Control Board. Accurately and concisely observe and report incidents on the standard report form without bias. Perform all duties in accordance with Company policies and within the realm of the Company’s Mission Statement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years casino supervisory experience in surveillance. Knowledge of all casino Slot operations. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift and willing to work unscheduled shifts on short notice. Excellent computer and technical knowledge. Excellent knowledge of all casino and surveillance operations, including table games procedures. Extensive knowledge of Gaming rules and regulations. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent. This is a Gamed position; qualified applicant must be over the age of 21 and able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration.

Essential Job Functions
- Supervise and maintain the Surveillance department and systems
- Take direction from upper management and openly communicate with Manager.
- Manage Surveillance employees, ensuring focus is on protecting company assets, gaming regulations and non-biased observations.
- Ensure that Surveillance team members do not talk, socialize, or fraternize with team members and that they are observing, reporting without bias.
- Maintain trained staff which shall be utilized to protect company assets within company guidelines and State Regulations, in cooperation with the Enforcement and Investigative Divisions.
- Train surveillance agents to maintain respective equipment, observe all departments, employees, casino areas and customers for suspicious activities ensuring fair and consistent reporting throughout company.
- Complete reviews and observations in a timely manner with accuracy. Daily Log entries and reports are to be precise including who, what, when where and why. Observe the count team drops, table games and cage activities.
- Operate closed circuit television, video recording devices, remote control devices, and computers using MS Word and Excel and other applications as needed.
- Thorough knowledge of gaming regulations, casino games and house gaming rules.
- Demonstrate impartiality and confidentiality of all actions and behaviors observed.
- Recommend changes and additional safeguards for the protection of casino assets.
- Install additional cameras and/or surveillance equipment as needed.
- Notify GM, Security Manager & HR of all suspicious activity in the casino via reports in a timely manner.
- Protect the integrity and assets of the company by identifying and properly acting in accordance with all governing regulations, including gaming, health, and alcohol awareness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and ADA Requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to converse over the telephone in an environment with loud background noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stoop, bend and reach. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to multitask. When on casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
