Overview: Job Description Summary: Performs basic supportive care to specified patients/families under the direction and supervision of an RN/Care Manager/Preceptor. Collects, documents, and reports data to the RN/Care Manager. Job Description: Essential Functions: Assists in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Monitors and records vital signs, symptoms, and progress of patients. Provides emotional support and comfort to patients and their families. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care. Education Requirement: Enrolled in a BSN nationally accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE), required. Successful completion of 2 clinicals (not including Long Term Care or Psych), required. Must be a Junior or Senior nursing student in good standing with at least a 3.0 GPA or above (unofficial transcript will be required), required. Licensure Requirement: (not specified) Certifications: CPR certified (BLS for Healthcare Provider required), required. Skills: Proficient written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Experience: Hospital Clinical experience, preferred.
