We use Stripe to process one-time, non-recurring online payments for a digital service. We’re seeing a high number of issuer declines on US cards (do_not_honor, generic_decline) even though Stripe has confirmed our technical setup and MCC are correct. We’re looking for a Stripe/acquiring specialist who can help us identify the real cause of these declines and guide us toward a practical, effective solution. The items below are possible improvement areas — but we’re not assuming any of them are the actual fix. We want someone who can diagnose the issue end-to-end and provide clear direction.
