Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team in a fast-paced smoke shop store environment. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining product displays. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. to qualify you must have past experience in either a vape shop or as a cashier.

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
• Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
• Stock shelves and ensure products are well-merchandised for optimal visibility and accessibility.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer experience.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
• Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product displays effectively.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, facilitating better communication with diverse customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities when supervising others.
