Job Description: The position is for a Market Risk Intern within the Global Market Risk Group, which is part of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) . The Global Market Risk Group is responsible for risk oversight of State Street Markets trading businesses. State Street Markets engages in a variety of capital markets business activities, including sales and trading in foreign exchange markets and securities financing activities. This position is for a self-motivated Market Risk Analyst with a strong technical and quantitative aptitude providing market risk oversight as part of the Market Risk team. The candidate will contribute to the establishment and maintenance of best practices and governance policies, pertaining to report compilation, data integrity, and distribution. Key responsibilities: Support the Market Risk Team with reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc) and general BAU functions Provide risk oversight & escalation for global FX trading business, including daily monitoring of market risk measures, trading activity and counterparty credit exposures. Develop framework for FX risk guidelines, limit structures, and other governance items. Real-time engagement with FX trading desk and senior management (CRO) to monitor current trading, hedging strategies and recognize market developments. Actively identify, evaluate, measure, communicate, enhance and enforce risk. Support in ad-hoc requests by senior management and the regulators Skills: Technical: Excel, PowerPoint, Word. SharePoint is a plus. Python, VB/macro development also a plus. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
