- Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
- Position Summary: The PA/NP utilizes critical judgment in the performance of comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and the prescribing of pharmacologic and no-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease as outlined in the skills list of the PA medical application
Position responsibilities
- · Quality of clinical care is within professional standards of medical practice, as determined by the appointment, credentialing, and peer review process.
- · Maintains active unrestricted medical staff membership, and keeps good clinical privileges.
- · Proper and timely documentation in the patient’s health record of all activities and decisions relative to each case.
- · Accounts for at least 80% of provider’s proportionate share of medical encounters, as measured by monthly PCC workload report. Cares for male and female of all ages with all types of health problems.
- · Participates in continuing medical education, quality improvement, and committee activities as required in maintaining clinical privileges and facility AAAHC accreditation.
- · Participates in committees as assigned, attends 50% of Committee Meetings, and attends 50% of Medical Staff meetings.
- · Provides counsel and resolution to personnel matters relating to the clinical staff.
- · Ability to work autonomously as a physician extender.
- · Provides counsel in personnel matters relating to the clinical staff.
- · Other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and experience
- · Must have graduated from an accredited PA/NP program.
- · Two to five years of experience.
- · Must have active and unrestricted state license.
- · Must have general experience in the evaluation and management of patients with emergent, urgent and non-urgent medical problems.
- · Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- · Knowledge of current and developing trends in area of professional expertise.
- · Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

- Staff Physician
- Position Summary: This facility provides ambulatory health care to eligible Native American beneficiaries. The incumbent functions as a family practice physician, assisting with the provision of those services.
Position responsibilities
- · Responsibilities and functions of a physician including; history taking, physical examination, the ordering of diagnostic procedures, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses.
- · Communicates with specialists to coordinate the provision of specialty care as necessary.
- · Proper and timely documentation in the patient’s health record of all activities and decisions relative to each case.
- · Provides ambulatory surgical procedures within individual capabilities.
- · Participates in continuing medical education, quality improvement, and committee activities as required in maintaining clinical privileges and facility AAAHC accreditation.
- · Participates in clinical peer review.
- · Provides counsel and resolution to personnel matters relating to the clinical staff.
- · Participates in the recruitment, selection and credentialing process for medical providers.
- · Supervision of medical staff in absence of Medical Director, including regular performance appraisals and feedback to staff.
- · Other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and experience
- · Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Medical Doctor (MD) Degree required.
- · Two to five years of experience.
- · Must have and maintain current State License.
- · Must have and maintain current DEA License.
- · Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- · Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- · Management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- · Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
