Summary

  • We are seeking a Pharmacist to support our compounding operations. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with experience in one or both sterile and non-sterile compounding, particularly in the field of men’s health. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring compliance, overseeing compounding processes, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining quality assurance standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify and review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation of sterile (e.g., injectables) and non-sterile (e.g., RDT's, troches) compounded medications.
  • Ensure all compounds are prepared in accordance with USP 795, 797, 800, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain sterile compounding environments (cleanroom, ISO hoods) according to protocol.
  • Collaborate with providers and patients to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records, including formulation logs, batch records, and compounding worksheets.
  • Support inventory management and ensure availability of necessary compounding ingredients and supplies.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes including potency verification.
  • Provide occasional patient education or counseling regarding compounded medications.
  • Be available for flexible scheduling, including coverage for staff PTO or increased workflow.
  • Requirements
  • Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Compounding Pharmacist
  • State licensed Pharmacist and in good standing
  • Strong knowledge of all relevant USP compounding guidelines
  • Knowledge of state laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding practices
  • High proficiency in computer usage
  • Strong knowledge of product preparation, compounding, packaging and labeling, etc.
