  • Responsibilities
  • As a senior technical contributor, you will play a critical role in shaping our data infrastructure and enabling self-service analytics across teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and business strategy, with a proven ability to design scalable systems and influence technical direction across departments.

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Own the design and long-term strategy of scalable data pipelines and modeling infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and analytics needs across the company
  • Mentor junior data team members on best practices in data modeling, pipeline optimization, and documentation. Contribute to building a culture of data excellence
  • Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transform raw data into usable formats
  • Architect and maintain scalable, modular data models in DBT that support analytical needs across teams and enable faster time to insights
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, RevOps, and Business Leadership to shape how data is ingested, transformed, and consumed across the organization
  • Optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability
  • Implement data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data
  • Document data processes, workflows, and systems for transparency and knowledge sharing
  • Utilize tools and technologies such as SQL, DBT, Snowflake, and Salesforce
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide support for data-related inquiries
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks effectively to meet deadlines
  • Drive initiatives that improve data governance, model scalability, and observability, proactively identifying areas for optimization across the data stack
  • Obtain Workato Automation Pro I, II, and III certifications within your first 90 days and leverage them to lead automation workflows and data quality checks across pipelines
  • Requirements
  • Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data/Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, or relevant experience from previous employment
  • 5 to 7 years of work experience in a data-related field
  • Experience creating data pipelines in DBT & Snowflake
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategic mind who can dissect and organize analytically and for scale
  • Diligent thinker who gets things done without overlooking important details

  • Self-starter with the ability to drive projects from inception to completion
  • Natural drive for innovation and creative problem solving

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with multiple deadlines
  • For California applicants, the pay for this role may range between $100,000 - $131,000 plus variable, benefits, perks, and equity.
