Position Overview

  • As Sr. Project Manager of Distributed Energy Systems for Priority Power, you will lead the engineering and construction of distributed energy systems (DES) projects, including backup generation, solar, battery storage, and hybrid microgrids. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams during the development phase to shape project scopes, assess technical feasibility, and support proposals. Following project award, you will oversee the execution phase, managing detailed engineering, construction, and coordination with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment and services. This role is critical to delivering turnkey energy solutions that enhance resilience, reduce emissions, and create long-term cost savings for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.

  • Apply sound judgment and critical thinking to influence cross-functional stakeholders on project risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Requirements
  • Deep understanding of backup generation technologies: (Diesel and natural gas generator systems, Microgrids and hybrid systems (solar + storage + generator sets), and controls, switchgear, and utility interconnection requirements)
  • Familiarity with Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and their integration into facility and utility systems.
  • Hands-on experience with backup generation and distributed energy deployments.
  • 5-10+ years of project management experience on utility-class electrical infrastructure.
