- POSITION SUMMARY
- We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations. This is a great opportunity to expand your accounting and leadership skills and play a key role in shaping our department. This key leadership role is responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, maintenance of a robust system of accounting records, and the implementation of comprehensive controls and budgets to mitigate risk. The Sr. Accounting Manager ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP and supports strategic financial decision-making. This position reports directly to the VP of Accounting and Finance.

- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports, including internal/external financial statements, annual audits, and budgets.
- Manage finance and accounting activities, including accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports, and cash control.
- Lead the annual budget preparation process by developing schedules and consolidating/analyzing financial data.
- Review and analyze revenues, commissions, and expenses to ensure accurate monthly recording.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and support the month-end/year-end close process.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements; identify and explain budget variances.
- Maintain and improve internal control documentation and monitoring practices.
- Prepare and summarize monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other key reports.

- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred).
- 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 4+ years of management experience
- Public accounting experience with a Big 4 firm is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong experience in financial analysis and modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Experience managing general ledger functions and overseeing monthly/annual close processes.
