About Us: We run two growing platforms: Tales from the Greenroom — a podcast featuring backstage conversations with world-class musicians. Mill Valley Living — a local lifestyle magazine highlighting community, culture, and stories that matter. We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist with strong Instagram skills, creativity, and strategic thinking to help us grow and manage our digital presence across both brands. Responsibilities: Build and manage Instagram-first content calendars, with cross-posting to TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Design unique, catchy posts (graphics, reels, stories, carousels) that align with each brand’s voice Repurpose podcast interviews into short-form video clips for social media Manage podcast distribution and promotion on Transistor Create and send Mailchimp newsletters (list management + automations) Update WordPress with podcast show notes, blog posts, and magazine content Track analytics, measure growth, and adjust strategies accordingly Stay on top of trends while maintaining a consistent, professional brand presence Qualifications: Proven experience managing Instagram accounts and creating engaging posts that drive growth Strong creative skills (graphic design, video editing, storytelling for social media) A strategic thinker who understands how to build and execute content plans Highly organized and able to juggle two brands with different voices Familiar with TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts best practices Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, and Transistor (or similar platforms) Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills Nice-to-Haves: Experience growing a podcast audience through social content Familiarity with lifestyle, music, or community-driven media Ability to independently pitch creative campaign ideas What We Offer: Flexible, remote-friendly collaboration Opportunity to grow with two dynamic and creative brands A mix of strategy + creativity with space to bring your own ideas Long-term potential if it’s a strong fit
