Sheet Metal Process Engineer for Metal NEMA Enclosure Fabrication Job Description We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to assist during peak periods with the engineering process for fabricating metal NEMA enclosures. The ideal candidate will support our team in creating high-quality enclosures by contributing to various stages of the design and production process. You must be adaptable, willing to learn our specific processes and preferences, and capable of engineering solutions tailored to our equipment and capabilities. Responsibilities • Create 3D models of NEMA enclosures based on provided specifications. • Develop detailed assembly drawings for fabrication. • Produce folded drawings for manufacturing processes. • Generate router documentation with Bill of Materials (BOM). • Create flat patterns for metal fabrication and write related program for our punch press • Collaborate with our team to align with our production capabilities and equipment. • The ability to work with our current engineer to QC any of the above steps Requirements • Proven experience in sheet metal process engineering, preferably with NEMA enclosure design. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for 3D modeling and technical drawings. • Familiarity with creating assembly drawings, folded drawings, flat patterns, and BOMs. • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation. • Willingness to learn and adapt to our specific processes and preferences. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely with our team. • Experience with NEMA enclosures or similar metal fabrication projects is a plus.
