Key Responsibilities 1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategy & Analysis: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, and technical) to improve keyword rankings, drive organic traffic, and increase conversion rates. Technical SEO: Conduct regular technical audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexability, site speed, structured data (Schema markup), and mobile-friendliness, specifically within the Shopify platform architecture. Keyword Research: Perform in-depth keyword research to identify high-value, high-intent terms to target in content, product listings, and site architecture. Content Optimization: Collaborate with content and merchandising teams to optimize product pages, collections, blog posts, and landing pages for search engines and user experience (UX). Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush, and others. Provide actionable insights and recommendations. 2. Shopify Development & Implementation Technical Implementation: Directly implement technical SEO fixes and enhancements within the Shopify theme (e.g., editing Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript). Site Performance: Optimize theme code and asset delivery to ensure fast page load times and core web vitals compliance. Theme Customization: Customize and develop new sections, templates, and features to align with design and marketing requirements. App Management: Evaluate, install, configure, and manage third-party Shopify apps to enhance site functionality (e.g., reviews, subscriptions, advanced filtering, SEO apps). Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Ensure the site is fully functional, aesthetically pleasing, and responsive across all major browsers and devices. 3. UX/UI and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Design Implementation: Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional, high-quality Shopify front-end experiences, focusing on user flow and visual appeal. A/B Testing: Support or lead A/B testing initiatives to improve key metrics across the e-commerce funnel (e.g., homepage layout, product page design, checkout process). Information Architecture: Optimize the site's navigation and linking structure for both SEO and a seamless user experience.
