JOB TITLE: Senior WordPress/LMS Developer for Technical Audit & Optimization (Short-Term Contract) JOB DESCRIPTION: LKnight Productions is seeking a highly experienced WordPress/LMS developer to conduct a full technical audit and optimization of our Learning Management System. This role includes evaluating the current implementation, identifying structural or performance issues, and recommending solutions that prepare the platform for a January 2026 launch with expected high traffic volume. Responsibilities: Perform a full technical audit of the LMS (WordPress-based) Review hosting architecture, database structure, caching, and performance Assess theme, plugins, custom code, and integrations Evaluate LMS functionality (course access rules, gating, scoring logic, role permissions) Deliver a clear written report with findings, risks, and recommendations Implement high-priority optimizations (if mutually agreed) Collaborate with our internal/legacy development partner as needed Ensure platform readiness for high-volume traffic Requirements: 5+ years of senior-level WordPress development Proven experience auditing or building LMS platforms (LearnDash preferred) Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, database optimization, APIs Familiarity with membership/gated access systems Ability to diagnose plugin conflicts, performance issues, and backend inefficiencies Strong communication and documentation skills Must be comfortable taking over a partially complete project Must be able to start immediately Bonus: Experience working with organizations preparing for large-scale launch LearnDash + WordPress multisite experience Hosting optimization experience (especially Kinsta, Cloudways, WP Engine, etc.) Deliverables: Full written audit Clear recommendations Implementation of approved optimizations Final validation/testing Contract Length: 2 -3 weeks Start Date: Immediate Please include: Examples of LMS projects you've worked on Brief overview of your audit process Confirmation of availability
