Description We are a privacy-driven cybersecurity and crypto exchange company — seeking an experienced VPN Infrastructure Consultant to design, implement, and document a secure, high-availability VPN layer for our backend environment. This engagement is ideal for a senior DevOps or network security engineer with proven experience deploying production-grade WireGuard, OpenVPN, or IPsec systems in fintech, crypto, or other high-security settings. Responsibilities • Architect and deploy WireGuard/OpenVPN-based VPNs to secure backend and developer connectivity. • Configure authentication, key rotation, access control, and logging for production use. • Integrate VPN connectivity with Laravel backend (API / private subnet). • Provide lightweight documentation for setup, maintenance, and security controls. • Advise on best practices for uptime, scalability, and security (target: 99%+ availability). Requirements • 5+ years of VPN and network security experience (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec). • Advanced Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian). • Experience deploying VPNs on AWS or similar environments. • Strong understanding of encryption, tunneling, and access control. • Clear English communication and async collaboration skills. • Preferred: prior crypto/fintech experience, Terraform, KMS/Secrets Manager, Prometheus/Grafana.
