Your next career opportunity As the Lead for the MD Professional Practice Curriculum, you'll be at the forefront of innovative curriculum development in the Department of Medical Education. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of medical professionals by overseeing the integration of the Professional Practice theme across all four years of the MD programme. You'll collaborate with esteemed colleagues, both nationally and internationally, to drive excellence in medical education and contribute to groundbreaking scholarship. Your responsibilities will include: Lead Curriculum Development: Oversee the integration and delivery of the Professional Practice curriculum across all MD years, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes. Foster Collaborative Relationships: Initiate and maintain key relationships across the University and with national and international partners to achieve strategic objectives. Drive Scholarly Activities: Engage in research and scholarship related to health professions education, contributing to high-quality outputs and conference presentations. Promote University Values: Demonstrate and promote diversity, inclusion, and high standards of ethics and integrity within the Faculty and University. You may be a great fit if: You will have a health professional qualification registerable with AHPRA, coupled with educational expertise, and demonstrate excellence in health professional education, innovative course development, and leadership. You may also: Possess a health professional qualification registerable with AHPRA and an educational qualification. Demonstrate excellence in health professional education, including teaching, assessment design, and delivery. Have experience in innovative course development, evaluation, coordination, and leadership. Exhibit strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Your new team – The Department of Medical Education https://medicine.unimelb.edu.au/school-structure/medical-education The Department of Medical Education was established as a department within the Melbourne Medical School in 2015. It has responsibility for the delivery of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) course, research in medical education and a range of professional development postgraduate and non-award programs. The department employs 160+ fixed-term and permanent staff in collaboration with our health service partners to deliver the education, research and engagement activities of the department.
