Your next career opportunity As a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne, you will have the unique opportunity to lead the integration of Indigenous perspectives into the Bachelor of Design curriculum. Your role will support the University's commitment to Indigenous cultural competency while collaborating with Indigenous communities and stakeholders. You will also have the chance to grow your expertise in teaching and scholarship within the design and built environment disciplines. Your responsibilities will include: Lead Innovative Curriculum Development: Design and implement curriculum that embeds Indigenous knowledges and methodologies across built environment programs. Foster Cultural Competency: Deliver high-quality teaching informed by Indigenous pedagogies and mentor early-career academics in culturally safe teaching practices. Build Strong Community Relationships: Collaborate with Indigenous elders and community partners to ensure curriculum alignment with Indigenous pedagogical principles. Advance Research and Scholarship: Produce high-quality research outputs and secure competitive research funding with an emphasis on Indigenous-led collaborations. You may be a great fit if: You will be an experienced educator with a PhD, possessing expertise in curriculum development and strong connections to Indigenous communities, ready to lead and innovate in design education. You may also: Have a proven track record of excellence in teaching and initiating new courses. Be skilled in supervising honours and postgraduate research students. Demonstrate success in securing research grants and consultancy projects. Possess strong multidisciplinary research abilities and collaborative skills.
