  • Overview
  • This role involves configuring and maintaining Workday modules, developing workflows to drive efficiency, ensuring data accuracy, generating insightful reports, and troubleshooting issues. The Workday Analyst will collaborate with HR, Business Services, and academic teams to understand and translate business needs into functional solutions within Workday. As a subject-matter expert, you will ensure the system operates efficiently and aligns with organizational goals while continuously identifying and implementing improvements. The Senior Integration and Reporting Developer will mentor less experienced developers in the more technical areas of application support.
  • This is a full-time role with a hybrid weekly schedule (2-3 days in office required) following the initial training period.

  • About The Department: Macalester College's Information Technology Services (ITS) department offers comprehensive services to support the campus community's technological needs. These services include project management, systems consulting, software implementation and maintenance, database management, and data reporting. Additionally, ITS manages the campus network, telecommunications systems, central servers, and information security architecture.
  • Responsibilities
  • Business Process Improvement: Analyze current HR, Finance, Payroll, and Academic workflows and identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency within the Workday HCM, Financial Management, and Student platforms. BPI responsibilities include collaborating with HR, academic departments, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional specifications for Workday configurations and enhancements. Thoroughly documents critical Workday processes and integrations.
  • User Support: Provide ongoing support to end users by troubleshooting issues, answering queries, and delivering training on Workday features and functionalities related to HCM, Financial Management, and Students. Proactively identify and resolve system issues, including data discrepancies, functional problems, and user challenges.
  • Reporting, Analytics, & Data Standards: Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to track HR, Financial Management, academic metrics, KPIs, and other critical data points to inform business decisions. Ensure data integrity within Workday by conducting regular audits, cleansing data, performing uploads, and addressing discrepancies to maintain high-quality data standards across HCM, Financial Management, and Student modules. Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • System Upgrades, Updates, Configuration, and Maintenance: Stay current with new Workday releases and updates. Implement new features and enhancements for the HCM, Financial Management, and Student modules as required, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Manage security roles, workflows, and custom fields for HR, finance, and academic functions to ensure seamless system functionality.
  • Other Responsibilities: Completes other responsibilities as assigned. Participates as an active member of the team. Participates in department and college activities and supports implementation of shared goals and initiatives. Provides backup support to other members of the team.
  • Qualifications

  • Required 5 to 8 Years of experience supporting ERP applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in HR, Business Services, and academic departments.
  • Workday’s Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Business Process configuration.
  • Workday integration (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Prism).
  • Workday security configuration and role-based access control.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a rapidly evolving landscape

Compensation

  • The annual salary for this position is $85,272 - $89,148, depending on experience.
