We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support our team in designing, building, and optimizing data systems. The role requires hands-on expertise in creating scalable data pipelines, managing large datasets, and ensuring high performance and reliability across data platforms. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver well-structured solutions that support reporting, analytics, and advanced business intelligence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java. You should have practical experience with cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as modern data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. Knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka) and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect is highly desirable. A solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and best practices for security and compliance will be key to success in this role. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex challenges involving data integration from multiple sources, performance tuning, and system optimization. You will be expected to design solutions that ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability while collaborating with stakeholders to meet evolving business requirements. The engagement is remote with flexible hours, open to either part-time or full-time depending on availability. The initial contract is for 3–6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
