- Position Summary
- Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of alarm and home automation systems.
- About the Position
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- * Repairs door and window sensors, motion sensors, glass break sensors, remote controls, cameras, door locks, and all other products used by Guardian.
- * Repairs fire alarm systems installed by Guardian.
- * Self-dispatches to site as needed, ensuring prompt arrival to customer’s homes and businesses.
- * Suggests upgrading/upselling customer’s equipment packages, when needed.
- * Willing to travel as required to perform.
- * Participates in the on-call schedule.

- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Education and/or Experience:
- * High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- * Previous customer service experience.
- * Two to four years of experience in alarm or similar installations.
- Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
- * Valid Electrical 06 license
- * NICET II Fire
- * Seattle FA1 card
- * Valid and current driver’s license
- Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- * Comfortable with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook.
- Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus; uses fingers, hands, arms when working with mouse, keyboard, monitors; must be able to climb a ladder and be flexible enough to crawl through attics and crawl spaces when required.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes work in a typical cubicle type office environment with overhead lighting and temperature control, and low noise levels. The employee mostly travels from job to job in a company vehicle and will be exposed to outside environmental or on-site conditions.
