  • Position Summary 
  • Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of alarm and home automation systems. 
  •    
  • About the Position 
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. 
  • * Repairs door and window sensors, motion sensors, glass break sensors, remote controls, cameras, door locks, and all other products used by Guardian. 
  • * Repairs fire alarm systems installed by Guardian. 
  • * Self-dispatches to site as needed, ensuring prompt arrival to customer’s homes and businesses. 
  • * Suggests upgrading/upselling customer’s equipment packages, when needed. 
  • * Willing to travel as required to perform. 
  • * Participates in the on-call schedule.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:   
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Education and/or Experience: 
  • * High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. 
  • * Previous customer service experience. 
  • * Two to four years of experience in alarm or similar installations. 
  • Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: 
  • * Valid Electrical 06 license 
  • * NICET II Fire  
  • * Seattle FA1 card  
  • * Valid and current driver’s license 
  • Computer Skills:  
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: 
  • * Comfortable with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Outlook. 
  • Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus; uses fingers, hands, arms when working with mouse, keyboard, monitors; must be able to climb a ladder and be flexible enough to crawl through attics and crawl spaces when required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes work in a typical cubicle type office environment with overhead lighting and temperature control, and low noise levels.  The employee mostly travels from job to job in a company vehicle and will be exposed to outside environmental or on-site conditions.
