NATIONAL MUSEUM OF FOREST SERVICE HISTORY The Museum tells this story through a 55,000 item archival collection much of which is is available online; a Conservation History Education Program hosting Teacher Training Workshops in partnership with the Library of Congress; traveling and online exhibits; and a beautiful 31-acre campus in Missoula, Montana that features an historic Ranger's cabin, gift shop, interpretive Forest Discovery Trail, pack corral, "L-4" Fire Lookout, a P-2V air tanker, airplane, and a beautiful timber-framed Pavilion that hosts numerous well-attended mission-driven public events. A Capital Campaign to build our main facility on the Missoula campus, the National Conservation Legacy Center, in in its final stages. All building fund donations now through June 30, 2024 are being matched by some generous donors. They will match up to $500,000.
