• Chalet is a fourth generation, family owned retailer that has served our community for over 100 years. We sell a wide variety of products including outdoor plants, indoor plants, garden products, outdoor furniture, home and holiday decorations, and pet food/supplies.

• We have an opportunity for new team members to help us during our upcoming busy season who like to work both outside and inside in a physical job. This position would be based out of our satellite location in the outdoor area of Jayson Home in Lincoln Park

Responsibilities include

• Loading customer vehicles with their purchases.
• Stocking and bundling firewood and other outdoor products.
• In the holiday season, freshly cutting, baling and securing Christmas trees to customer vehicles.
• Flexibility to work on other projects if needed.
• Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

• We're looking for helpful, hardworking and accountable people who can lift at least 40 pounds (75 pounds ideally) and can work at least 3 days per week (including 1 shift on a weekend day).
• Previous retail or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Ability to work varied hours and/or days as the needs of our seasonal business dictates. We are open typically 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. We’re happy to accommodate school schedules.

• Though it is not required, our customers kindly tend to tip during the holiday season. Please consider working for us, making some extra money, getting out of your home, and onto our friendly and fun retail campus. Thank you.
