- We are seeking a 1st Shift Scheduling Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing workforce schedules across all departments, ensuring the right coverage to meet production goals while supporting employee needs and company policies.
- 1st Shift Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities
- Create and manage daily and weekend crew schedules to meet production requirements.
- Coordinate overtime signups and assignments in line with company policies and labor agreements.
- Review and process time-off requests (vacation, sick, LOA, training, etc.) to ensure proper coverage.
- Maintain up-to-date employee crew profiles including certifications, training, and role eligibility.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to adjust staffing in response to operational changes.
- Prepare and distribute daily schedule reports and crew sheets.
- Support job bidding and other workforce planning activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees with scheduling or HR-related inquiries.
- Assist with HR and employee engagement initiatives as needed.
- Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Previous scheduling or administrative experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or shift changes as needed.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
