  • Job Description
  • Avery Dennison is seeking a Sample Department Coordinator to join the Label and Graphic Materials Group organization. This role is responsible for effective daily operation of the Sample Department, meeting all requirements for processing sample and literature outbound shipments, as well as sample sheets and rolls production, sheet, kit and sample pack collation, as well as literature printing. The team is also tasked with providing an outstanding customer service experience to it’s multi-division internal customer base, via phone, and email, as well as hosting customer and sales tours of the department. This role has been 8:00am - 5:00pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Timely and accurate fulfillment of sample and literature requests
  • • Accurate packaging and shipment processing for both domestic and international requests
  • • Inventory management: set and maintain accurate and adequate inventory levels, manage replenishment via order entry, receiving and stocking processes
  • • Work with Product Managers across all NEO divisions to implement product changes: adding new materials, purging outdated materials, and managing product transitions
  • • Managing quality/quarantine requirements, when needed, as well as replacement orders
  • • Facilitate system reliability for internal users/customers
  • • Ensure that sample packaging supports a quality, polished, first impression of Avery Dennison
  • • Provide sample shipment tracking information to internal users daily
  • • Respond promptly and professionally to internal customer inquiries via phone, e-mail, instant messaging and in person
  • • Foster teamwork in support of shared responsibilities through cross training and excellent communication
  • • Maintain safe, clean, organized department through 5S practices and safety policies including PPE. Engaged in safety awareness and accident prevention.
  • • Ability to learn/run a variety of finishing equipment ex: guillotine, log slitter (lever), sheet fed laminator.
  • • Quality, accuracy and efficiency in production collation
  • Qualifications
  • • Understands the importance of Safety as our first priority
  • • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • • 3+ years Customer Service or related experience a plus.
  • • Strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
  • • Strong data entry and organizational skills. Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently with time constraints
  • • Ability to work constructively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • • Strong work ethic, positive/can-do attitude, and high level of reliability
  • • Strong computer skills (Google (drive, sheets, docs, email) , Oracle, UPS World Ships, experience a plus)
  • • Willingness to accept expanded responsibilities and embrace process change as business dictates
  • • Strong time management skills, including use of idle time
  • • Ability to lift 40 lbs repeatedly throughout the work day.
  • Additional Information
  • The hourly range for this position is $18.53 - $24.71/ hourly
  • The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
