Role Description

The Business Development representative (BDR) is responsible for producing and nurturing leads as well as advancing the sales process through prospecting exploration.

  • Conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through various channels including telemarketing, digital and social selling, and other outreach vehicles.
  • Proactively follow-up on all marketing originated leads from multi-touch campaigns and originate their own leads based on set target lists.
  • Work in conjunction/collaboration with the North American Payroll and Cloud Services team and supporting regional field marketing team.
  • Engage and interlink with both parties as part of the lead and pipeline generation process.

Responsibilities

  • Direct outreach and follow-up on marketing originated/derived leads generated through external channels.
  • Carry out exploratory research and identify potential target accounts and decision makers within them.
  • Collaborate with sales and presales teams to hone best sales approaches and angles.
  • Create and deliver marketing qualified opportunities that can be handed off to sales.
  • Support marketing efforts at trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Leverage market insights and intent data to target the right prospect organizations.
  • Influence direct to prospect campaigns and messaging based on interactions with prospects.
  • Increase Strada’s profile and awareness with prospects through key B2B social channels like LinkedIn and X.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree.
  • Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in a business development role.
  • Preferred experience in HR Tech/SaaS.
  • Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem identification and objections handling skills.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Digitally savvy and have experience with both Sales Navigator and other outreach tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like SFDC.
